  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Then, peel and coarsely shred one apple until you get to the core. Thinly slice the other apple. Cover and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together butter, brown sugar, apple butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth. Then, add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir until combined. Fold in shredded apple and chopped craisins. Spread batter evenly into pan. Lay apple slices on top of batter and sprinkle almond slivers over the whole surface.
  3. Bake for 40 minutes or until browned and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  4. Prepare the icing: whisk all icing ingredients together in a small bowl. You can do this while the cake is baking or when it comes out of the oven. After icing is prepared, drizzle over your cake while it is still warm. You may serve the sake slightly warmed or after it has cooled. Either way, Enjoy!
